poem: new beginnings
i am roused and i rise
born into the new era
my days are paving stones stretching
out, winding
down an uncharted path
and i squint in awe
what do you hold in store?
thrust
into these empty vessels, we forage
for survival.
torn
from our outerplanetary ignorance
we breath life into the World
completely oblivious of the reason.
float through the great expanse
at your leisure (risk)
but do so lightly.
flames flickering the same slow burn-
do not extinguish another’s light
for together we glow brighter.
our existence is one of great mystery-
why are our souls packaged
up in boxes
that will eventually betray us?
health is failing
beauty is fleeting
we are fragmenting
let us be free.
